Welcome to Short Stories For Women!
This site aims to be a one-stop-shop for great short stories in womens fiction. Here you will be able to take a break and read a short story or two, and even submit your own stories for possible publication on the site. It doesn’t matter whether you are a published or unpublished writer, all submissions will be considered.
You can also give feedback on short stories you have read on the site, and provide any constructive feedback to the writer, as long as it is helpful. No blatant criticism will be tolerated. This is a great opportunity for aspiring writers to gain feedback on their work.
If your story is accepted, it may be slightly edited to correct any obvious errors, but overall editing is the author’s responsibility and you must be prepared to have your story published the way it is when submitted. It can be helpful to get another writer’s feedback on your story before submitting.

SUBMISSION GUIDELINES:
- Short stories must be under the general umbrella of womens fiction. Categories include; chick lit, romance, romantic comedy, paranormal, inspirational, drama, humourous, and Christmas/festive. Your story can be included in more than one category.
- Length of story must be a minimum of 500 words, and maximum of 4000 words.
- Please let us know which categories to place your story in. If your category is not shown, suggest to have it added.
- Please copy your story into the BODY of your email, DO NOT include it as an attachment or it will not be opened.
- No payment is offered for submissions, but you may include a short bio and website link at the end of your short story.
- By submitting your story, you agree to the possibility of us publishing it on this website. Copyright will remain with the author, and you may publish your story elsewhere in addition to this website.
